Some 51% of apartment renters choose to renew their leases, according to RealPage renter retention statistics. There are three factors that affect decisions to stay or go.

Generally, the younger the age group, the more likely they are to be mobile. The same is true for renters in high-job-growth metros and those with a lot of new apartment supply.
