The Greensboro/Winston-Salem apartment market has historically been an underperformer, but it mounted a comeback in the second quarter of 2017 with 5.2% annual effective rent growth, according to apartment market research.

That figure was a decade high for Greensboro apartments. The rental market trends showed that Class A properties and those in the North Winston-Salem area drove the uptick.
