Metro job gains August

The United States job base grew by 1.5% in July 2017, as year-over-year job gains totaled 2.1 million nationwide, a cooling off from the recent past. 

New York was again the leader in metro job gains, followed by Atlanta and Dallas. By percentage, six Florida markets -- No. 1 Sarasota-Bradenton; No. 2 Fort Lauderdale; West Palm Beach and Palm Bay (third-place tie); and Orlando and Tampa Bay (sixcth-place tie) -- were among the top 10.
